How to Install a font in Mac OS X?

Install a new font in Mac OS X Mac OS X supports PostScript Type 1, OpenType, and TrueType font formats.
1. Locate the fonts you want to install. TrueType fonts will have one file while PostScript (Type 1) fonts for the Mac will have both a printer and screen font.
2. Drag the fonts to the System Folder. Click OK when prompted.
Note: You may install fonts by copying or dragging font files to any of the standard Fonts folders in Mac OS X. The various Fonts folders fit into the overall Mac OS X security design such that files for use on an individual computer are segregated from those for use on a network; and, on the individual computer, system software files are segregated from those under the control of a user or Admin user. The folder in which a font is located determines who can access and use the font. For example: If a user installs a new font at ~/Library/Fonts/, the font is available only to that user. If a root or Admin user installs the same font at /Network/Library/Fonts/, all network users can use the fonts (assuming that the network administrator has set up computers for this type of sharing).
Changes to Fonts take effect when an application is opened or a user logs in to the account or computer on which the changes occurred. Duplicate fonts are resolved based on the order of precedence defined for the standard Fonts folders and are described from highest to lowest priority in Table 1.

The statistical trainable classification algorithm has unique characteristics. It learns your private correspondence, extracts the distinguishing features from the messages of different classes, and uses that information for analysing the other incoming messages. The algorithm improves its classification quality continuously with each new learned message. It is possible to track back the history of classifying messages and training the plug-in using a filtering log. The plug-in can delete spam right on the server by headers, using a list of account settings. The accounts for filtering can be added manually or automatically for non-secure connections. The rest of messages are downloaded to email client for filtering by full content, and the messages with high spam ratio are moved to a special folder automatically. The plug-in supports several complementary methods in addition to statistical algorithm: black and white lists of email addresses, anti-phishing filter, blocking spam by IP address of the sender (using DNSBL services), black and white Regexp-based rules. Several methods are used for filtering graphical spam: - Blocking spam with inline images, linked to third-party web sites. - Blocking the messages with animated GIF pictures in attachment. - Blocking the messages by the type of attachment. - The statistical classifier is optimized for blocking spam with a picture and some amount of unlinked text. An additional toolbar is displayed in TheBat interface, providing fast access to the main plug-in functions. The plug-in works with The Bat! and Voyager. It doesn't use system registry and there are no problems with installing it to USB drive for using with Voyager.
